The third tournament of the district level weekly online chess tournament series organized by Chess Association Kasaragod will be held on Sunday, February 27 from 7 pm on the Chess Association Kasaragod team page on the Lichess.org online platform.

System of play
The tournament will be on Swiss Round System in Lichess.org.
There will be 7 rounds in 15 minutes+10 seconds Rapid format.
Pairings, tiebreakers etc will be done in the automatic system in Lichess.

Play online!
The tournament can be played online from anywhere through a computer/ tablet/ smart phone (Windows / Android) connected to the internet.

Cash prizes
The winners will be awarded 20 cash prizes sponsored by Vishy Chess School.

Eligibility
The tournament is for players in Kasargod district only. Those who are registered with the Chess Association Kasaragod can also participate.

Results
The results will be officially announced by Chess Association Kasaragod only after 3 days of the tournament. If there is any dispute, final decision will be of the tournament organizers.

Registration
Competitors should register their name and details through the website of the Chess Association Kasaragod.Duly fill the registration form and submit. Entries without the required details will not be accepted.(Those who are currently members in the Lichess Team Chess Association Kasaragod page should also submit the registration form).

Notifications & Instructions
After completing the registration, a WhatsApp group will be created and participants will be added to the group.

Registration last date February 11(For the first match to be held on Sunday, February 13) Entries can be registered upto 11 PM on Friday, February 11. Thereafter, no entries will be accepted.

Lichess I D
Matches will be played on Lichess online platform. So the competitors must have an account (User name or ID) in the website, Lichess.org.

Rules and Conditions
During the tournament players should not use any type of external assistance.
As all the matches will be played on Lichess online platform, the participants should follow Lichess terms of service. If anybody is banned by Lichess for violating Lichess rules, such players will not be allowed to continue in the tournament. In such cases players can appeal to Lichess, but not to organizers. As those matters are outside the purview of the organizers, review and readmission are not possible.No complaint could be raised if the match is disrupted due to problems with Computer / Phone, Internet Connection, Website server etc.
